In today’s post, I’m going to be taking you through all of my current product obsessions. I go through beauty products like nobody’s business, and often forget to update you on what I’m currently loving- so today, I’m going to do so.
MAC Lipstick in ‘Yash’ ($36 AUD)
If you’ve been keeping up with my blog for a while, you’ll know that I am completely addicted to lipstick. If I set foot in Priceline, Mecca, Sephora- you name it- there’s a 90% chance that I will not walk away without a new one.
Reds and nudes will always be my favourite lip colours, as to me, they’re the most timeless and go with everything that I wear. I’ve found the perfect red for me (click here to read my thoughts on almost every red that I own), but finding my perfect nude lipstick has proven to be quite the task.
My skin tone is quite fair, but it also has a netural/olive undertone. Pretty much every nude I own is either a little too pink, peach or brown to be considered ‘perfect’- I still wear them of course, but they’re not MY colour (the lipstick lovers will know what I mean). ‘Yash’ has totally filled that gap for me. MAC describe it as a ‘deep neutral’- I would agree, but I do think it has just a dash of warmth. If you have a similar skin tone to me, definitely give it a try.
Kylie Cosmetics Ultra Glow in ‘Santorini’ ($14 USD)
No makeup look is complete for me without a good dose of highlighter.
Typically, I prefer a natural ‘glow’ (think MAC Soft and Gentle) as opposed to a BLINDING KAPOW SHABAM look.
Kylie did a great job on this formula- loose highlighters are quite scary to me as they are pretty much always WAAAAAAY too intense (unless you’re into that), but this one is super versatile. I can get both ends of the spectrum out of this and I absolutely love it.
TOP TIP: For an Ariana Grande ‘No Tears Left To Cry’ look, wet your eyeshadow brush and whack some of this on your eyes with it. Works a treat!
Colourpop ‘Yes, Please!’ Pressed Powder Shadow Palette ($16 USD)
When I made my first order with Colourpop, I must admit I was quite the sceptic. I’d heard nothing but great things, but I found it hard to believe that anything THAT affordable could be very good.
But BOY was I mistaken.
The formula of these eyeshadows is the BEST that I have ever come across… yes, EVER. The pigment is unreal, they’re buttery and soft, and most importantly- incredibly easy to blend. As a blue eyed gal, orange/warm toned eyeshadow is MY JAM, so the colours in this are spectacular. I’ve used it to create pretty much every warm toned look you see on my Instagram, so check that out if you’d like to see it in action.
Australis ‘Customise’ Range ($4-$10 AUD)
On a similar wavelength, Australis have blown me out of the water with their new ‘Customise’ range. This nifty system allows you to pick and choose your favourite cream contours and highlights, powder contours and highlights, blushes, brow powders and eyeshadows, to create a custom palette completely tailored to you.
Again, the quality of these are immaculate, and the system ensures that you’re not wasting space in your collection. Brilliant!

Ardell False Lash Range ($6.99-$32.99 AUD)
Last but not least in the makeup section, are Ardell’s range of falsies.
When it comes to false lashes, you either love them or you hate them. I just so happen to LOVE them- by no means do I wear them daily, but they’re very useful when I want to amp up my look.
Ardell really has all bases covered when it comes to lashes. It all comes down to personal preference, but I love how wispy and natural looking their styles are, as well as how invisible, flexible and comfortable their bands are. Of course I love a good dramatic silk pair every now and again, but these really get the job done for a great price.
Their LashGrip adhesive is also the only glue I will ever use. It’s never once failed me.

Wella Oil Reflections Light Luminous Reflective Oil ($21 AUD)
Hair oil is a very important step in my hair routine. I use it right after I wash it, and whenever I feel like it needs some added moisture.
My hair is fine in texture, but I have quite a lot of it- this basically means that anything too heavy will massively weigh it down and I will look like The Grudge.
This one gets the job done, is extremely lightweight, and smells delightful- everything I need and more.
Aveda Shampure Dry Shampoo ($30 AUD)
I love dry shampoo and dry shampoo loves me. We’re always there for each other in times of need.
The only thing I don’t love, is how many aerosol cans I throw away every year because of it- it doesn’t feel good.
Aveda’s “Shampure” is a non-aerosol powdered dry shampoo- you simply tip it upside down for a second, twist the cap open, and squeeze the bottle- it puffs the powder into your hair in a super fine mist (just like a can would). It also works A LOT better and a little goes a very long way. Highly recommend!
Loving Tan 2 HR Express Deluxe Bronzing Mousse in ‘Dark’ ($39.95 AUD)
Self tanning is something I do on one of three occasions:
- I’m going on a holiday
- It’s Summer
- I want to feel like a supermodel.
Even though I don’t do it weekly, when I do, I ALWAYS use Loving Tan’s 2 hour express mousse. This stuff makes me at least 4 shades darker in 2 hours, and doesn’t make me orange whatsoever. It’s never streaky, patchy or uneven, and when I make the effort to take care of it, it lasts 10-12 days (7 if I’m lazy) and fades completely evenly.
It’s pricey, but definitely worth the splurge.
BareMinerals Bare Haven Essential Moisturizing Soft Cream ($50 AUD)
Time was running out on my beloved Avene Hydrance Aqua Cream-in-gel, so I decided that it was time to step out of my comfort zone and give my skin something new.
I’m a MASSIVE fan of BareMinerals, so I was very keen to give their new skincare line a whirl.
I have had this moisturiser in my life for only THREE DAYS, and I am already prepared to say that it’s a new all-time favourite.
It is the PERFECT formula for my now normal-dry skin, and in one night alone it made a massive difference in my skin’s texture. I’ll keep you posted if things change, but it’s already a winner in my book.
The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2% ($12.70 AUD)
If you’ve read my skincare routine, you’ll know that I credit Sunday Riley’s Good Genes Lactic Acid Treatment for totally transforming my skin. However, it just ran out and while I ADORE it, I couldn’t quite justify spending the $154 on it when I just went back to uni.
Lactic Acid is the hero ingredient in Good Genes, so I went on a mad quest to find an alternative and stumbled upon The Ordinary’s Lactic Acid solution.
The formulas are COMPLETELY different and behave in totally different ways, but now that I don’t necessarily need Good Genes, this does the trick.
It is WAAAAAY too harsh to use on a daily basis, but when my skin is in dire need of exfoliation or a little extra something, this does the job. Will it replace Good Genes forever? No. Is it still a great product? Absolutely.
And there we have it my friends.
I’d love to hear some of your favourites, so feel free to tell me all about them in the comments.
Until next time, 😉
