As you’re about to see, Mum and I have quite different styles when it comes to decorating.
She’s into traditional colours, luxe finishes and retro styling but is still quite experimental.
I on the other hand, love a rustic, monochromatic, ‘cozy’ feel- not unlike the images you see on Pinterest.
Despite my expertise being nowhere near her level, I figured I’d give you a little look into my space to show you some really basic styling which will work with pretty much any colour scheme.
My year round colour scheme is white and copper, so I do like to stick with it during Christmas. Last year, I introduced a little bit of red to freshen it up, but this time I wanted to pair things back again, so I stuck with a few pink accents.
The bed, tree and window trio is definitely the focal point of the room and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. I got the idea from Pinterest and basically just played around with the placement until I was happy- there’s no rhyme or reason to anything in my room as you’ll see in the images.
Now that I’ve shown you mine, you better show me yours.
