Stocking Fillers

Stocking Fillers

Filling a stocking or bulking up a present can be quite the task. Not only can it be overwhelming trying to think of something, but it can also be incredibly expensive.

For my final Blogmas gift guide, I’ve compiled a list of 6 potential choices- all of which are fully customisable, easy to find, small in size, and under $30 to boot.

1. Costume Jewellery

It’s pretty safe to say that every person can appreciate a good diamond, but their wallets probably aren’t as big of a fan.

Everybody can always use a few statement jewellery pieces in their collection to dress up a basic outfit on an impromptu evening out. There are endless options out there and it’s all pretty cheap- not to mention some of the crazy discounts going on right now.

2. Lipsticks

If you’re buying for a beauty lover, the key to satisfaction is pretty simple; chuck a lipstick in their stocking.

Priceline has a BUNCH of choices, but my personal favourite is the Rimmel London line. Their formula is on par with brands like MAC and Estee Lauder for me, but they’re half the price and usually on sale as well.

3. Lush Lip Scrub

A good lip scrub is something you don’t know you need until you have it.

Lush’s formula is my absolute favourite for 3 reasons:

  1. They have a massive array of incredible scents and flavours
  2. They’re 100% natural and edible which means you don’t have to wash them off.
  3. They’re some of the cheapest on the market.

4. Glasshouse Candles

Glasshouse Fragrances makes the highest quality candles and reed diffusers that I’ve ever come across. The scents are delightful and beautifully balanced, and the formula is incredibly potent- I’ve been using their reed diffusers for over 2 years and have only had to buy 4 of them- that’s just how long lasting they are.

The brand is a little pricey, but their mini candles are great value and make the PERFECT stocking fillers for anyone into home fragrance.

5. Journals and Stationary

Writers, students, parents- basically everyone can use a journal in their life.

There are some pretty luxe options out there, but if you’re on a budget, Kmart is definitely the go- $5 and under, anyone?!

If you’re looking to get a little fancy, I endlessly recommend Potterstyle’s Q&A a Day. This book basically asks you to answer the same question on the same date- 365 questions over 5 years. I’ve been filling mine in for nearly 2 years now and I’ve found it super interesting to see how my answers have already changed in such a small amount of time- this is definitely a great choice for students, young adults, or anyone going through big life changes.

6. DIY

If you have enough time to get creative, why not do it?

Receiving a handmade gift is something that always touches my heart, and I absolutely love giving them as well. They’re thoughtful, unique, and hold a great deal of sentimental value to me.

But they also don’t have to be serious.

My friend Alice and I have a tradition of photoshopping each other with our celebrity crushes and framing it. What you’re seeing above is my absolute favourite one- to this day it still sits proudly on my shelf.

If you’re struggling to think of anything, head over to Pinterest and search ‘diy gifts’- it’s impossible to leave without some kind of inspiration.

And there you have it!

If you have any other suggestions, feel free to share them in the comments.

Until tomorrow, 😉
