A Very Lush Christmas- 2017 Edition

A Very Lush Christmas- 2017 Edition

Lush has been an essential part of my Christmas preparations for several years at this point. Setting foot in the store sends festive shivers down my spine and it’s only then that it actually feels like Christmas to me.

Whether you’re scoping out the range for yourself or looking for specific products to give as a gift, you’ve come to the right place.

In this post, I’ll be going over quite a few of the newly released products as well as some of the nation’s old faves. If I haven’t talked about a certain one however, don’t fret as I probably did so in last years’ post which you can check out by clicking here.

You can also click the title of each product to be taken straight to the Lush Australia website to buy or read more should  it tickle your fancy.

Bath Bombs

Luxury Lush Pud ($8.95)

This is MY kind of Christmas Pudding.

As far as bath bombs go, this is a bit of a double whammy- it provides a crazy colourful look as well as deep relaxation.

To me this scent is quite sweet and floral, but it’s definitely fresh and soothing at the same time.

If you’re looking for a great gift, this is a definite must-have.

Christmas Sweater ($8.95)

For all of my spicy friends out there, this is the one for you.

This warm and cozy scent is powered by Sicilian lemon oil, mustard powder and ginger and is best suited to a slightly cooler day.

If relaxation isn’t enough, these intense ingredients help to soothe sore muscles as they are extreme circulation boosters. Lush says it best- this is complete ‘fizzy-ho’ therapy.

Never Mind the Ballistics ($8.95)

The scent of this one is a pretty safe bet as it’s sweet and zesty blend is universally loved by men and women.

Like Christmas Sweater, it isn’t just a pretty face either- it contains fresh banana and cocoa butter which soften the water and most importantly, your skin. Double whammy!

Butterbear ($5.95)

Butterbear is often overlooked but there’s a very good reason that it’s remained in the range for YEARS.

The vanilla/cocoa scent is thanks to the oodles of cocoa butter it jam packed into this fizzy bear. It works brilliantly alone or alongside any bubble bar to add a lingering scent and superb softness.

And I mean… look at him!

Bubble Bars

Magic Wand ($11.50)

As much as I love to splurge on bath bombs from time to time, bubble bars will always have my heart for one reason only: they’re reusable and much more friendly to my wallet. Depending on the size, I can typically squeeze 3-4 uses out of a bubble bar as opposed to a single use bath bomb.

Magic Wand is one of two that I impatiently wait for throughout the year. It is comprised of the ever-so-popular “Snow Fairy” scent which is as sweet and sugary as sweet and sugary can be.

One of the great advantages to this one is that it’s on a stick which makes it extra easy to reuse. The bubbles it produces are gargantuan in size and it makes the water extremely soft to boot.

Candy Mountain ($8.95)

Candy Mountain is and always will be my favourite Lush product. Period.

It combines Snow Fairy with my love of vanilla to produce one of my favourite scents in the world- warm and sweet, but not sickly.

I won’t say much else, other than buy it. Buy it. BUY IT.

The Snowman ($11.50)

Chocolate lovers rejoice- this is for you.

This ‘bubbleroon’ sandwiches softly citrus fuelled bubble bars with cocoa and shea butter to create a super softening and deliciously scented bath.

I do believe this is a new product and definitely one that I will be adding to my favourites list.

 Bath Melt

Star Light Star Bright ($9.95)

Bath melts are pretty underrated products, but I find them to be particularly useful for use before special events.

Star Light Star Bright is jam packed with super fine silver glitter, and leaves your skin with a lovely which looks great in flash photography.

Murumuru butter and essential oils deeply treat and smooth skin like no other, and the colourful surprise inside would put a smile on the face of anyone- young or old.

Soap

Snow Fairy ($9.95)

Soap is one of Lush’s many specialties. They have countless options including many limited edition versions for Christmas so it’s pretty easy to find something that floats your boat.

This time, I opted for the Snow Fairy Cold Pressed Soap as (again) I love the scent, it’s also packed with pink and blue duo-chrome glitter and as far as soap goes, it’s quite aesthetically pleasing.

Lip Scrub

Santa Baby ($9.95)

Lush’s lip scrubs are pretty much the only ones I buy, as they work wonders and are 100% natural and edible, meaning you don’t have to rinse them off.

Santa Baby’s scent and flavour is an interesting combination of cola, lime and coconut- but it totally works. There’s no better way to get your lips ‘mistletoe ready’.

Now run my lovelies, and fill your carts with all of these delectable treats.

Until tomorrow, 😉
