Hair Rehab London Review + Discount

I am a huge fan of Little Mix, and I have been for a very long time. They are by far my biggest style inspirations and I can’t get enough of their music and fun personalities.

Something I’ve always drawn inspiration from is their hair. It’s always thick, voluminous and polished with not a single strand out of place. I watched countless YouTube tutorials (shoutout to ShinyLipsTV) and tried out many methods of my own, but I could never get it to look quite right.

I was absolutely shocked when I found out they wear clip in extensions on the daily, as their hair always looks natural and the thought just never crossed my mind. So as soon as they announced that they wear Hair Rehab London extensions, I was all over the brand.

Packaging

I ended up choosing the Synthetic Wrap Ponytail in the colour Golden as I was feeling very Perrie Edwards!

The delivery of the product was super quick. Being that the brand is based in the UK and I am in Australia, I was expecting to have to wait ages, but I received the package in about five days.

Unboxing

The ponytail was packaged SUPER well. Everything was perfectly in tact, nothing was creased, and the product was well protected.

Packet front

Ponytails are something I usually dread doing for multiple reasons:

  1. I look absolutely ridiculous with all of my hair pulled straight back.
  2. Although my hair is quite long, and I have a lot of it, it is quite fine in texture so nothing stays in place.
  3. I just can’t get that perfect ponytail “swish” (you know what I’m talking about).

So, when I saw all of the reviews and before and afters of this product, I knew it was the one for me.

Packet back

Finding my colour was the easiest process of all.

I had a one on one email conversation with Lauren Pope- the founder of the brand.

Basically, to get your perfect match, you send in a couple of un-edited photos of your hair in natural lighting, and they recommend the perfect colour for you. Easy peasy!

I was super surprised when I opened the package. The colour was PERFECT! It was light enough, golden enough, and even multi-tonal- which for a synthetic product, is pretty revolutionary!

Claims

Text: Our synthetic range is made from quality synthetic pre-styled fibre that can withstand low non-direct heat, but to avoid any risk or damage and to keep your hairpiece looking great for longer, we advise you not to apply any direct heat via appliances or hairdryer.

When I removed the hair from the packaging, I was absolutely blown away by the quality. The hair was soft and silky, but didn’t have that fake looking shine that most synthetic hair has. All in all, it looked super real.

Hair

Perfectly flattened, the hairpiece measures about 24inches long, which is A LOT of hair. It is styled in that perfect Perrie Edwards or Ariana Grande blow dry and never falls out or becomes straight.

Note: Make sure to test the colour match before you remove it from the cardboard, or it cannot be returned.

Clip top

I must admit, it did take me a couple of tries to put it on. The process is very very simple, it was just a matter of finding the perfect placement.

As the hairpiece is quite long and heavy, if the ponytail isn’t tight enough or is sitting in an awkward position, it may sort of “flop” downward so it does take a bit of practice.

But now that I have found the perfect position for me, I can put it on and have perfectly styled hair in a minute, max.

Clip back

Lauren Pope has some great hair tutorials on her Youtube channel which show you how to use all of the Hair Rehab London products, but I’ll do my best to explain it here.

Basically, you put your hair in a ponytail in whatever position you like. You slide the comb in between the elastic band and your head, then tightly wrap the ponytail around your own. There is velcro the whole way along the outside, and a small piece on the detached section of hair to secure the wrap in place. It’s then as simple as wrapping the detached section around the base and bobby pinning it into place to cover up the band. And voila! Instant sass!

Fail photo

This is probably the biggest fail of a photo that I have ever taken. I think I was attempting to take a side-on photo with a selfie stick and being the clumsy person that I am, tripped over nothing. This lovely picture was taken on my descent- and you can see in my face that I had yet to realise that I was about to faceplant into the floor.

But anyway, at least you can kind of see it right?

Selfie

This is basically how it looks in natural light with very MINIMAL editing. As you can see, it sits like real hair and doesn’t look fake or overly plasticky.

I’ve actually had people ask me how I grew my hair so long while I’ve been wearing it so… there’s your proof!

Overall, I am extremely impressed with the product and I would recommend it to everyone! The quality is amazing, it’s comfortable to wear, and affordable to boot- what more could you want?!

Definitely worth picking up!

This is where we get to the sad part.

A couple of months after I received the hairpiece, I decided to dye my hair (as you can see above). I ADORE my new hair colour and plan on keeping it for a very long time. This unfortunately means that I can’t wear my wrap ponytail anymore as the colour no longer matches. I can’t complain though, as I have worn it quite a lot- I just wish it was the right colour!

With that being said, I would love to try out more of what the brand has to offer soon and have quite a few of their luxe hair pieces on my wish list so fingers crossed I will be able to pick some up soon!

However, this is NOT a sponsored post! All opinions and words are 100% my own and I would never participate in a brand collaboration (which this is not) unless I genuinely loved the product, and am allowed to say whatever I want. If I were to do a sponsored post, you would be fully aware of it- and it would very rarely happen in the first place.
